After we had been at Amber & Aaron's 6 nights, we decided it was time to head back and hoped that we had power at home. A friend of ours in our neighborhood already had power so we thought we might, too. Much to our dismay, we did not. So we cleaned out our refrigerator and freezer because we had left some food in there. That was not the best smelling thing I have ever cleaned and Corry could not even attempt it after walking in the kitchen. I was able to get it all cleaned out and cleaned up and to get the smell out, though.
So after discovering that we still didn't have power, we headed to Bay City to Corry's grandparents house. We stayed there for four more nights. It really turned out to be a good thing because Corry's grandpa needed help cleaning the place up after the hurricane with all of the limbs on the ground. Corry and myself and the girls all pitched in to pick up sticks- and when I say that I mean the girls spent at least 5 whole minutes helping us! The rest of the time was spent playing with the sticks and Gator.
The girls checking on the horses that night...Autumn decided one of their names is Lady, that's what she names all of her toy horses, too.
This is a picture of Shelby's hand wrapped up after Autumn "rolled her up"- Shelby's words! They were playing in Corry's grandparent's front room and Autumn figured out how to turn on the treadmill. Shelby was standing on it when Autumn turned it on and ended up being pinned against a plant and wall with the treadmill burning her hand and leg. I felt so bad for her- it was kind of like road rash or a carpet burn all over her hand and on her leg. We wrapped it up for a couple of days and it is much better now.

The Gator really came in handy picking up sticks and the girls love to ride in it.

Corry had a toy of his own to play with- his grandpa's tractor. He's been dying to drive it and he finally got his chance!
