School Valentine Party

The kids had their school Valentine's Day Party today and had lots of fun eating and getting all of those Valentines and candy. Their parties are always at the same time so usually Corry goes to Autumn's class and I go to Shelby's class and then Shelby and I join Autumn's class after she finishes eating. We gave Autumn the choice of Gammy or Daddy coming to her party today and Gammy won so she went to Autumn's party.

Gammy & Autumn in her class...

It's so neat to see the kids interact in their classrooms. Shelby is absolutely obsessed with another little girl in her class who doesn't talk yet and has a pacifier. She walks around taking care of the little girl and acting like she's her little mommy. If her pacifier is crooked, Shelby will pull it out and straighten it. She treats her just like she's one of her baby dolls. I have actually been telling Shelby to lay off a little this past week and not to hug the little girl quite so much.

Autumn idolizes her teacher Ms. Deana and usually follows her around and wants to be her helper. She sometimes does not want to wear a certain dress because her teachers have already seen her wear that dress. Yeah, I'm in trouble. It must be hereditary because I know I was the same way at least at certain times in my childhood- I don't think it started quite this young, though!

Autumn also plays very well with the kids in her class, especially the girls. I think there is often a boys vs. girls battle going on with the boys taunting the girls. Autumn comes home telling me all the time that one boy said he didn't like her dress or another boy was putting dirt in her hair. She's never upset about it and I always tell her that means they like her! She's too prissy for her own good! Overall, both girls really likes school and hopefully it stays that way for a long time!
