Park, Fire trucks, Helicopter & Ambulance tour!

Daddy was working at the music store today so the three of us had to find some fun stuff to do...so we went to the park first. To back up a little bit, Autumn is always wanting to go somewhere, anywhere! She asked me before going to bed "Where are going tomorrow?" and as soon as she wakes up the first words out of her mouth are "Where are we going today?" So we tried out a new park and really liked it. The girls had lots of fun chasing the ducks all over the place (and trying to feed them).

Riding on a little dinosaur, Autumn wasn't too fond of it, she kept asking me "What does it do?". Not action packed enough for her I guess!

So she decided to try out this centipede and this picture was right before she decided she was stuck and I had to climb up and rescue her :)

Chasing the ducks and on their way to getting very muddy!

There were ducks and geese all over the place and this goose in particular did not appear to be too friendly (if any of them are!). Shelby wasn't scared but Mommy was!
He made awful noises, too!

The plan after that was just to go home and get ready for naps but as we were driving home we saw fire trucks, ambulances, and a helicopter at the civic center so pulled in to see what it was all about. They were having hurricane preparation seminars in the building and had all of the emergency vehicles there for everyone to tour. So we went home to all bathe because both girls were very muddy and sweaty after their adventures at the park. We returned all cleaned and ready to go and were so glad we decided to go back.

We actually got to watch the helicopter circle in the sky for a while and then land.

Autumn sitting on the helicopter, she thought she was going to get to go for a ride! Shelby was scared to get in and probably for the same reason!

Shelby in a firetruck...

Autumn & Shelby in a firetruck...Autumn had LOTS of questions!

A little bonus for the kids, a bouncy house (can't remember the real name right now!)

Sitting in the ambulance and Autumn asking lots more questions!

It sure was nice to find something so fun to do when we didn't even plan to do it!

Can I just say that you are like the awesomest mom ever! Home for a bath and to get cleaned up and then back out again, and looking so adorable I might add- WOW. This momma would be tired! But it looks like it was well worth it!!!
What a cool thing to happen upon. That one is gonna be hard to top tomorrow :-)
