Dollhouse bunkbed

We bought Autumn and Shelby a new bed last weekend. It looked normal-size in the furniture store but once we got it home it seemed to swallow her room! So now she has this massive structure in her room. It is cute, though, and was the perfect colors for her room. That's what makes the decision right? Not how big, what color it is! It has a twin bunk on top that is completely surrounded so that she can't fall out. I'm not quite ready for her to sleep up top at night just because I'm afraid she'll try to get down in the middle of the night and fall. It also has footholes on the right side and it will hopefully be a long time before Shelby can climb them. She's not much of a climber, though, so I'm not too worried about that. There's a full-sized mattress on bottom and the plan is for her and Shelby to sleep there soon. So far I'm breaking them in and the three of us are sleeping there. We don't even have a crib for Shelby anymore because she never liked it so she has been in a pack-n-play in our room. It's time for her to move out, though :)

Here's the bed in it's entirety without the mattress on bottom...

We decided to move it to a different wall and it looks a little smaller now
and is more closed in...

Autumn in the top bunk..

They should be fine to sleep together...here's a morning that they had both ended up in our bed. Look at Shelby's arm under Autumn!

oh my gosg where did you get that? That is the cutest bed ever!!! Haley was around Shelby's age when she went to a big girl bed, but she was climbing out of the darn Crib, crazy girl. They are going to have so much fun with that bed!!
