Quintana Beach

We went to the beach yesterday for the first time this year. We pulled onto the beach, saw the water, and weren't sure if we wanted to stop! The water was so chocolatey brown this weekend after all of the rain we've had. Sometimes we go to the beach and it's like wow, the water ALMOST looks pretty. Not this time, not even close! We stayed, though, and all of us had a really fun time. The weather was perfect, sunny but not too hot.

Autumn loved the water and jumping in the waves.

It was Shelby's naptime when we got there so she took a long nap in the car with all of the doors open and windows down. It was perfect sleeping with the wind and sound of the waves.

The sand was not loose because we went to a beach you can drive on so we didn't have a lot to work with as far as building things! Everything pretty much ended up as piles of mud!



Shelby is about the same age as Autumn was when we took her for the first time (besides when she was a little baby). She was much easier to handle!! When we got out of the car with Autumn at this age she beelined for the water and had us chasing after her all over the beach! Shelby was a little calmer and stayed in one spot for longer periods of time!
