Shelby turns 4!

My baby girl turned 4 and had her birthday party on her actual birthday this year. We had planned on a backyard party with family and a couple of friends but we ended up changing plans at the last minute because of ongoing rainy weather. With all of the family, we really have to either have two parties if we want to invite friends, too, or have mainly a family party. It's too many people, especially when planning it at the house, otherwise. Shelby was fine with a family party so I went with it and didn't push the issue! All of the rain from Tropical Storm/Hurricane Alex dragged on longer than we thought it would, so the day before her party, I called a local pizza and party place and they had openings. It turned out to be much easier and I was actually glad that we had it there instead of the house. Shelby had lots of fun, too.

This place has a dodge ball court that they sometimes have parties in but wasn't being used. It also has bouncy slides and jumpers which is where Shelby's party was.

Cake time!

She really looks forward to licking the candles!

Opening presents

She was so excited about her new pink sparkle shoes. She told Megan she wanted sparkle shoes and that her mom wouldn't let her have any! (They give her very stinky feet!) Although, we have remedied the stinky feet problem by wearing socks with the shoes. It may sacrifice the "look" but it's better than that smell!

After her party, we headed out to Freeport because they always have a fireworks show on July 3rd. Derik, Crystal, and the kids and my parents and brother and sister all joined us.

Really wish we could have been there- we had so much fun with you guys last year. That party place looked like lots of fun- you can't beat that!
Funny about the candles- TJ keeps telling me he wants to lick the candles and cake toppers- he's really looking forward to that.
I meant to call on her birthday but not sure what happened- sorry about that- glad she had a good one.

The place looks like so much fun! I am glad she enjoyed it. The red, white, and blue nails are awesome! Who had the time to do that?!?!
LOL about the title--that's the same one I'm using for Kayla's bday post!
