Thursday night our friends Amber, Aaron & Aydan came into town. They stayed the night and we went to the beach on Friday. It was a gorgeous day and even the water looked pretty- more of a green than the typical chocolate brown. The girls had fun jumping in the waves, trying out their new boogie boards, and playing in the sand. Aydan is 15-months-old and is seriously the most laid back baby I have ever met. We were at the beach for a few hours and she did awesome!

Flying a kite with Amber...we weren't sure what it was going to be like flying a kite since it has been a while since we had done it. The wind literally took it up instantly and it stayed up the entire time with zero effort!

Sunday we went to friends Jim & Jennifer's house for a 2nd Annual Memorial Day BBQ and the kids had a great time playing with their neighbor's kids who are close in age.
Monday we spent the day visiting with both of Corry's grandpas. We grilled steaks that night and enjoyed a picnic dinner on the creek.
And today, Corry was back to work at the music store and the girls and I joined the Landry Family for a day at Hermann Park and had so much fun, but I am now ready for a day to rest (and catch up on all of this housework that doesn't seem to do itself).

Sounds like fun. We made the mistake of trying the beach on Sunday (the worst day of the weekend). The kids just love it and have sooo much fun.

Looks like lots of fun. Still tentatively planning to come get in on some of that fun maybe July 4
weekend if you'll still have us! Until then, keep enjoying some fun in the sun!
