We woke up early on Shelby's 6th birthday, packed our bags, put on our swimsuits, gave Shelby her birthday present, and headed out to Splashway Waterpark to spend the day in the sun having fun. We all enjoyed the day and really liked Splashway. It's smaller than Schlitterbahn but was perfect for us and for the kids' ages. It was also MUCH cheaper. We went to dinner that evening at Schobel's in Columbus and stayed in a hotel. We didn't realize it, but it had been a couple of years since the girls had even stayed in a hotel so they were pretty excited about that. The next day we went to family friends, the Stanley's, home in Flatonia for a July 4th party. We had a great time relaxing, swimming in the pool, and Shelby celebrated her birthday with Janet, whose birthday is actually on the 4th.
