Sweet Valentines

It was a fun Valentine's Day with a special lunch with Carly & Corry at the Crosswinds Cafe at the Angleton Airport (newly opened and a fun place to eat and watch small planes and helicopters land and take off).  The food was delicious, too.  Then Carly & I went to the girls' parties at school and for the evening Corry cooked us Shrimp Piccatta for dinner- Yum!

Baby girl's first Valentine's Day (I was attempting to get her to wear the headband but as you see it's in her mouth, as usual).

I thought this was sweet.  The kids all brought a red heart home to decorate any way they wanted.  This was Shelby's friend, Trinity's heart that she wrote "Shelby BFF Friend" and put her picture on it.  They are still so darn sweet in Kindergarten.

Three sweet Valentines

This gift caught us all by surprise.  A boy in Shelby's class had his mom bring it up to the school to the front office for Shelby.  She didn't know until the end of the day when we were leaving.  Really sweet but we were all also thinking 'But, they're only in Kindergarten!'- still really sweet, though.  Shelby had told us a couple of boys were sweet on her and she was serious!  She said they always fight to sit by her.  It's funny, though, because she doesn't want anything to do with the boyfriend thing.  She likes to play with the boys & girls at recess but she doesn't really get into the boyfriend/girlfriend thing and doesn't like to be teased about it!!

Seems like a lunch date with baby in tow is the way to go these days for Valentine's day :-)
Wow- looks like y'all are going to have to be fighting the boys off with a stick (no surprise, but starting a little early!)
