Easter Egg Hunts

We went to Angleton's egg hunt and decided we weren't going to try any more city egg hunts in the future.  There are always just too many people and ends up not being very fun for the girls.  This year Shelby spilled all of her eggs and the kids took all of them and she was left with one little egg.  I lost sight of her when the hunt began and when it finally cleared I saw her walking around, lost, calling out Autumn's name and crying.  It was such a sad sight and I wanted to cry with her!  Autumn was a sweet big sister and gave Shelby half of her eggs.

Shelby had an Easter bonnet parade, party and egg hunt at school.  Her bonnet was a collaborative effort between myself, Shelby, and Autumn.  I glued the big eggs and the girls pretty much did everything else using flower petals, leaves, and foam flowers.  We wanted to put real flowers on there but were afraid they would die by the next morning.

Autumn wanted her picture taken before school, too.

Shelby was in hog heaven...she got to be the line leader in the parade and she was so proud!

After her egg hunt...

Autumn's egg hunt at her school...the kindergarteners were so cute.  They all had bunny ears, painted faces, and tails!

Autumn decided the other day that she no longer likes dresses (only skirts or really fancy dresses if it isn't shorts or pants).  This is the child that pretty much insisted on dresses for over two years (until Kindergarten).  Guess it could only last for so long.  She has several cute spring dresses that she's not going to wear.  Maybe Shelby or Carly will wear them when the time comes!

Shelby has the beauty queen wave down. She looks so proper as the line leader in the parade.
