Festival of Lights

We went to the Festival of Lights for the first time ever and were so impressed with it all. There was tons of stuff for the kids to do- bouncy houses, tunnels, and slides, a train, ponies, a petting zoo, and their most favorite activity- Snowland! All of it was free, too. There was also a Chef's Market with all kinds of goodies for sale and we each picked one treat. The girls both bought cake balls and I bought Mexican cookies.

Autumn knew all about Chipper Charlie (or maybe it's Charlie Chipper) because he had visited her school and her class had made him a birthday card.

They had fun in the little petting zoo that had lots of different animals for them to pet.

Shelby was in heaven with all of the helpless animals that she could love on and pet and pet and pet some more.

The kiddie train ride...

Shelby was so funny, she waved the entire time she was on it.
We hit Snowland last where the kids sledded down a hill. The line was so long that we didn't even attempt it when we first arrived but later on it was much shorter and went really fast. The girls were able to ride it 10-15 times and Autumn was happy because she ran into her preschool friend Minnie and rode with her a few times.

Later on that evening we headed out to the parade and had a good time seeing all of the floats. It lasted over an hour! We decided we may even have a float for the music store next year.

The girls were sitting waiting for the parade and kissed. I, of course, missed it with my camera and told them to do it again. It ended up more of Autumn kissing Shelby's nose but close enough!

Looks like a blast. Snowland rocks- I always wanted to do that as a kid. Love the kissing pic- those sweet moments are the best even if they have to be staged after the real deal is missed :-)
