Lake LBJ Trip- Part 1 (Actually Kyle, Tx)

We took a little family vacation for four nights to first see our friends Amber & Aaron in Kyle and then to Lake LBJ with Julie & Dwaine and kids and their friends Laura & Travis and little Grant. We ended up leaving late on Wed. night to avoid the surprise Tropical Storm Humberto. We were supposed to leave Thurs. morning but didn't know what the weather or traffic would be like the next day so just left early. Poor Corry- he had to load the car in the POURING rain b/c the storm was just coming in. He also had to tie the slide to the top, much to his dismay at the time, while it was pouring! We were so glad we had it, though, and in "we" I probably just mean the mom's and kids! Apparently there is some type of Amoeba in the lake that a couple of people have died from this summer so we didn't really want to take our chances in the lake.

We all had such a good time. We had a total of 5 kids, two and under, so it was pretty busy! The guys got to do some fishing, though, and the girls got to go to Chili's in Marble Falls for a drink so we all got a little down time! I'll take whatever I can get!

On to pictures....

Here's Autumn at Amber & Aaron's posing in front of the gate to their Rottweilers.

Cabela's is right by their house so we went and checked it out. Cool place, but the girls both needed a nap and it was pretty torturous for us. Just one of those times you wish you hadn't ventured out!

To be continued- gotta finish unpacking!
