Well, besides what I've already blogged about, we've had an easygoing summer with playdates, swimming, and visits to the library here and there.
The girls' friend Abby has invited us over to swim a few times.
Even Carly gets to swim!
My super crafty friend, Ana, invited us over for an ice cream sundae/make dad a craft for Father's Day. This was the Friday before Father's Day and I was very grateful because we had no present for our dad and I'm not as good at thinking of things! Ana took pictures of the girls holding a sign and the girls decorated a frame and card for him. It was perfect timing for the frames because Corry started a new job and had pictures to put on his desk.
The girls went to Vacation Bible School at the Methodist church in Angleton and had a lot of fun.
My pictures are out of order but this is Shelby enjoying her ice cream at Ana's house.
And Autumn with hers
We spent an afternoon at the beach with the Landrys and had so much fun. This is me and all of the girls except Mia.
Another picture courtesy of Ana of just me and the girls.
We also go to the library when we think about it and have gone a couple of times for crafts and once to watch a movie. The girls are in the Summer Reading Club with the goal of reading 60 books. We have a long way to go to reach 60!
Love this post! Summer is so fun! The girls are doing the reading club too. Leanna was really excited about it the first few weeks...now she's winding down. But it's harder for her since she is actually reading the books, not just letting me read them(like Kayla). LOL! We need another playdate with the girls & I'll start planning the Moms' Night soon!
Wow- 60 books. We only had to read 15 and then they were able to pick out a book to keep. That was much easier. Your summer sounds very similar to ours. It's been very nice to not have a schedule. Seems to be going by really fast though. Looking forward to seeing you guys soon hopefully.
