It's hard to believe that our first born is 8 years old! She seems every bit of that eight, too, but has always seemed older. Often she seems like a grown-up in a little person's body. She's so smart, responsible, caring, and beautiful. She loves to color & draw and spends hours doing just that. She & Shelby also still do a lot of pretend play and dressing up in whatever they can find to fit the character they are playing. She loves to decorate and is always changing things up in her room. She has also really taken to reading and creative writing this year. She has amazed us with the stories she is able to write- both in length and imagination.
She celebrated her birthday this year at a skating rink. She wanted a tie-dye theme and had wanted to make tie-dye shirts as party favors but November ended up being a crazy month with everyone getting sick with everything and Corry hurting his leg. So I made a tie-dye cake and we had a tie-dye tablecloth and called it good! She had so much fun at her party, though. She invited her new friends from school and they all had so much fun together.

So many fun, girly gifts!
