Our friends, Will & Erin and their boys Garrett & Hunter, came down from Missouri to stay a week with us. We had so much fun, it was a week filled with sun, water, and lots of activity. We went to the beach four different times, twice at night and twice during the day. Erin also sells Lia Sophia jewelry and I had a party one night and my mother-in-law had a party one afternoon. We ate lots of good food, went to eat Mexican food and seafood since they don't get either of those much in Missouri, and just hung out and enjoyed ourselves.
The kids all played on the slide a couple of times while they were here...
Digging for clams one night at the beach. This was Hunter's first time ever to the beach and Garrett had only been once when he was a year old. They are really into fishing and were very excited about the beach.
We spent an afternoon at Surfside beach...
Garrett
Derik, Audrey and Travis came down to the beach, too, to join in on the fun. The picture below is of Will with some of the kids.
Shelby, Hunter, and Autumn
Shelby couldn't bear not to be in our picture.
And neither could Garrett!
Shelby looking cute that night.
Autumn with bling on...the girls had a full fashion parade. We're pretty sure the boys are scarred for life after being with these girly girls for a week.
We went to the local Sea Center...
Erin & Will with all of the kids
Aren't they cute? Garrett is seven and Hunter is four.
Will, Garrett & Corry
We always see lots of cool things at the Sea Center...this time we saw a praying mantis and what I called a banana spider and Corry called a writing spider. We also went about a month ago and saw a snake right below us in the grass.
All four of us girls went one afternoon to get manicures and pedicures. This was Autumn & Shelby's first time to go to a nail salon and they loved it~ naturally.
Shelby's fingers painted with a little flower on her thumbs.
We spent a day in Galveston...starting off at Benno's seafood restaurant and then rode the ferry over to Bolivar and went to Crystal beach. This is where Hurricane Ike hit the hardest and it was amazing to see that area almost a year later. A lot of rebuilding has already begun, but there is also a lot of land where houses used to be, balconies with no house attached, gas station signs with no gas station, leaning houses with all of the furniture still inside but an entire side of the house gone. It is really strange to see even after seeing it on the news for over a month straight after it happened.
Travis, Autumn & Audrey at Benno's- our second time to go there and it is outstanding- great food with a casual atmosphere and a GREAT place for the kids because you can eat outside.

So glad you guys had such a great week. Sounds like you all had a lot of fun! Jewelry parties, mani/pedi's, trips to the beach, yummy mexican and seafood- I really wish I could have joined in on all that! No seriously, I really do wish we could have been there to see the Wicker family. The boys are sooo handsome! And you got some really great pics!
I love how Shelby was resting her head on your hiney when she snuck into your picture- so cute!
And Will watching almost all of the kids in the water- never could have imagined that 10 yrs ago :-)
